Visible Safe Scan I & Safe Scan II Scanners offered
here works on the principle of sensing light in the visible spectrum
and is highly reliable at low load operation also. This scanners uses
fibre otpic and its associated electronic components and requires
simple maintenance only. The scanner is named as safe flame - I and
safe flame - II. The safe flame ii has been proposed for both
discrimination of oil flame and the fire ball monitoring.
The visible light
scanner is designed to monitor the characteristics of the frequencies
and intensity levels of visible light emitted from the combustion of
fossil fuels. The visible light from the flame is transmitted bya fibre
optic cable to the electronic unit on the photo diode.
Both the flame
intensity and the frequency of the flame pulsation are amplified by
electronic circuitry and converted to a current signal for transmission
to remote equipment. The scanner head assemblies ar esame for both SS I
and SS II. In the remote equipment, three parallel circuits receive the
flame signal. These circuits simultaneously and independently examine
the flame signal for absolute magnitude of intensity and frequency. The
existence of these two components in addition to a "No Fault" condition
gives "Flame On" voting signal. This system uses the flame 'ON' or
'OFF' signal for interlocking purposes.
The remote card
rack contains the PCB's for monitoring the transmitted signal. A 19"
rack is used to keep all these electronic cards in the remote unit.
